During an engagement in Itapoã, Governor Celina Leão announced investments in security, land regularization, a cultural center, and the construction of a permanent market to boost the local economy.
The administrative region of Itapoã was the focus of infrastructure and urban development proposals for the Federal District.
During commitments with the community, the governor and reelection candidate Celina Leão presented a plan focused on strengthening local commerce and public safety.
The measures aim to increase the city’s autonomy, reducing economic dependence on neighboring regions and improving residents’ quality of life.
Immediate Reinforcement of Public Security
To combat crime swiftly, the temporary installation of a Military Police company in a rented building in the area was announced.
In parallel, Terracap is already mapping areas to house a new integrated public security complex.
The space will bring together structures from the PMDF, PCDF, and the Fire Department, in addition to featuring a sports area with a synthetic field for the public.
Economic Autonomy and Urban Works
Incentives for local commerce are another pillar of the socioeconomic expansion project, with an emphasis on building a permanent market in the city.
Celina Leão stated during a meeting with market vendors and leaders:
“Itapoã must have its own life and not be an appendage of Paranoá. The market ensures this autonomy”
The plan also includes the creation of a cultural center, studies for a new school, and the continuous advancement of the urban land regularization process.
The region’s infrastructure has already seen recent improvements with the repaving of Avenida Del Lago and the opening of the new UBS (Urban Basic Health Unit) in Itapoã Parque.
The proposed initiatives seek to consolidate structured and sustainable growth for the Itapoã community in the coming years.
The consolidation of these essential services and the strengthening of commerce promise to transform the local urban dynamic and ensure greater efficiency and well-being for the entire population.
