Embrapa Cerrados and Multleilões are hosting the 10th Nelore BRGN Auction this Saturday during Expoabra 2026, offering cutting-edge genetics adapted to the Brazilian biome.
The Granja do Torto Exhibition Park in Brasília becomes the epicenter of precision livestock farming this weekend. The 34th edition of the Brasília Agricultural Exhibition, Expoabra 2026, hosts the 10th Nelore BRGN Auction, an event that consolidates decades of investment in science applied to the field.
A total of 79 cattle will be made available to breeders and investors, ranging from elite purebred (PO) specimens to commercial livestock. The auction, taking place at the Villa Boechat venue, will also be broadcast online, allowing for remote participation by producers across the country following prior registration on the Multleilões portal.
Focus on Productivity and Adaptation
The key differentiator of this Saturday’s auction lies in the Brasil Genética Nelore lineage, the result of 25 years of research by Embrapa. The work is focused on transforming Nelore cattle productivity, ensuring that the animals not only thrive but deliver superior results under challenging climatic conditions, such as those of the Cerrado.
The offering includes 28 young bulls and 10 high-standard dams, in addition to 41 selected commercial animals. The institution’s proposal is to democratize access to genetics that combine hardiness with high performance.

The herd undergoes rigorous selection using genetic markers for feed efficiency, carcass traits, and meat tenderness. The breeding stock serves both the commercial market and research units throughout the country.
Sustainability and the Future of Livestock
Beyond carcass criteria, the project stands out for the biological resilience of the herd. The General Chief of Embrapa Meio-Norte, Anísio Lima, reinforces that the lineage demonstrates a high reproductive rate even during the most critical periods of drought—a fundamental characteristic for the sustainability of livestock activity in tropical climate regions.
The event reflects Embrapa’s role as a driver of technology in agribusiness.
