Leandro Grass intensifies campaign across Federal District’s administrative regions, promising to structure a hospital in Recanto das Emas and provide emergency support to recyclable material collectors.
The final stretch of the second round of the race for the Federal District’s Governorship has led candidates beyond the seat of power, focusing dialogue directly on the peripheries and administrative regions. Candidate Leandro Grass (PV) toured Recanto das Emas and Cidade do Automóvel this past weekend, aiming to hear local demands and present solutions to long-standing bottlenecks in the capital.
Among the candidate’s main platforms, public health takes center stage. During a walk through the commercial area of Recanto das Emas, alongside district representative Chico Vigilante (PT), the candidate inspected the local Emergency Care Unit (UPA) and reinforced the need to ensure the full operation of a regional hospital in the city, while also highlighting the importance of valuing technical staff through public tenders.
Support for Circular Economy and Reconstruction
Leandro Grass’s agenda was marked by a moment of solidarity in Cidade do Automóvel. The candidate visited the facilities of Centcoop (Central of Cooperatives of Recyclable Material Collectors of the DF), which was recently devastated by a large-scale fire.
It is crucial to ensure that these workers, who play an essential role in waste management and sustainability in our DF, receive all the necessary institutional support to resume their activities and recover the lost equipment.
Accompanied by the Fire Department during the inspection, Grass arranged for representatives from the General Secretariat of the Presidency of the Republic to be present to assist with immediate aid to the families and cooperative members impacted by the disaster.
Projects for Regional Development
In addition to the focus on health and social assistance, Grass’s government plan includes changes in urban mobility and the infrastructure of satellite cities. The proposal for integration via VLT (Light Rail Vehicle) connecting Recanto das Emas to Riacho Fundo I and II emerges as an alternative to foster regional employment hubs, reducing commuting time for workers.
The campaign commitment signals the decentralization of public services as a management pillar for the next term. With intensified visits, the group’s objective is to strengthen contact with the community, enhance oversight of operational health units, and ensure that housing and economic development reach all regions of the Federal District equitably.
