A strategic partnership between Middle Eastern companies aims to introduce B100 biofuel to Qatar, targeting the decarbonization of maritime transport and industrial sectors.

The global race toward energy transition has entered a new chapter in the Middle East. A newly formed alliance between Qatar’s Kingdom Konsult and Saudi Arabia’s The Biofuel Company (TBFCO) aims to break new ground in the clean energy market by introducing B100 biofuel to Qatar.

The exclusive agreement was formally announced during the AIM Congress 2026, held in Dubai. The joint initiative focuses on replacing fossil fuels in naval fleets, cargo vehicles, and factory operations, creating sustainable pathways for the Persian Gulf region.

Division of tasks to drive sustainability

To make the operation viable, the companies have defined clear roles. Kingdom Konsult will serve on the commercial front line within Qatari territory, mapping potential clients and strengthening institutional ties.

On the other hand, TBFCO will provide engineering support, supply the renewable fuel, and handle the necessary regulatory documentation. The Saudi company’s expertise in the sector was a key factor in securing the strategic alliance.

The company stated:

Our team has been involved in all green fuel bunkering operations in the United Arab Emirates since the initial milestone in 2020, which proves our technical capacity to also serve the Qatari market.

Focus on maritime transport and heavy industry

Beyond the naval sector, the partnership aims to serve a diverse range of economic segments. Plans include supply for road transport, construction sites, hotel complexes, and the infrastructure sector.

Before reaching full-scale commercial supply, the brands plan to implement practical tests and pilot projects. This initial phase will serve to verify the efficiency of B100 under real operating conditions.

With these initiatives, the sustainable energy market in the Middle East is showing strong momentum toward meeting international climate goals. The coming months are expected to mark the start of practical testing, paving the way for a production matrix in the region that is less dependent on traditional oil.
