Votorantim Cimentos has inaugurated a modern logistics center in Brasília, focused on operational efficiency, safety, and reducing environmental impact in the Midwest region.
Votorantim Cimentos has expanded its footprint in the Midwest with the opening of a new distribution center in Brazil’s federal capital. Located in the Setor de Oficinas Norte, the facility spans 11,000 square meters and was designed to supply the Federal District, the surrounding metropolitan area, and northern Goiás.
The initiative aims to provide faster service to the residential, renovation, and retail construction sectors. With this new structure, the company intends to streamline the distribution of its full portfolio of finished products, including traditional brands such as Cimento Tocantins and the Votomassa line.
Sustainability and technology in logistics operations
The design of the Brasília unit places energy transition and environmental responsibility at the core of its strategy. To minimize the carbon footprint of daily operations, the logistics center has adopted a fleet of electric forklifts, replacing fossil fuel-powered equipment and reducing emissions across the sustainable construction supply chain.
Beyond its environmental focus, the facility was designed to ensure strict operational safety standards and comfort. The infrastructure includes dedicated areas for the well-being of drivers and employees, reflecting a growing trend in the clean energy sector and more conscious industrial operations.
This expansion reinforces our commitment to efficiency and regional development, integrating sustainable practices into the daily distribution of construction materials.
Outlook for the regional market
With this opening, Votorantim Cimentos boosts sector competitiveness in the central region of the country. Faster delivery and optimized logistics routes promise to strengthen ties with local clients and retailers, ensuring a more stable supply that aligns with the demands of the Federal District‘s real estate and infrastructure markets.
Over the coming months, the company is expected to evaluate the unit’s impact on improving delivery times, serving as a model for future logistics expansions focused on ESG (environmental, social, and corporate governance) criteria within the Brazilian industrial sector.
