Public transport in the Federal District will have free turnstiles and an expanded fleet to serve over 82,000 candidates during the two Sundays of the Enem exam.

The logistics for the National High School Exam (Enem) in the Federal District gains a strategic ally this year. With the goal of ensuring students do not encounter setbacks accessing test sites, the local government has implemented a special mobility operation that covers buses, BRT, and the metro on November 8 and 15.

The measure goes beyond facilitating the arrival of applicants, extending free access to the entire population of the capital. The initiative, named “Vai de Graça,” seeks to remove financial and geographic barriers, allowing travel logistics between the different administrative regions to operate with maximum efficiency.

Mobility and logistics operation

To ensure the operation’s success, the Transport and Mobility Secretariat of the DF has drawn up a detailed schedule. The Universal Free Pass will operate 24 hours a day, from 12:00 a.m. to 11:59 p.m., exempting any type of payment at the collective transport system turnstiles.

The bus fleet reinforcement will be concentrated in the morning, between 10:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., ensuring a heavy flow so that candidates reach their destinations before the gates close. The DF Metro will operate extended hours, from 7:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., with reserve trains available if demand exceeds initial projections.

“The measure aims to eliminate logistical barriers and ensure that students arrive early at the test centers distributed across the administrative regions,” highlighted the Agência Brasília on the importance of the operation.

Guidelines for candidates

To avoid last‑minute surprises, authorities recommend that applicants use the DF no Ponto app. The tool allows real‑time monitoring of itineraries and helps users calculate travel time to their exam location.

After the exams conclude, bus operators will also be on alert to handle the return flow, with active monitoring from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on the first Sunday, and from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on the second day. The expectation is that the special arrangement will provide a smoother experience for the thousands of young people seeking a spot in higher education through their Enem score.
