The Mantikir Summit Premium olive oil, produced in Minas Gerais, has clinched first place in the Blend category of the prestigious 2026 CNA Brazil Artisanal Award.

Domestic olive oil production continues to reach new levels of excellence, gaining significant national recognition.

Last Thursday (15), in Brasília, the Mantikir Summit Premium label, crafted by Vinícola Essenza in the Serra da Mantiqueira, was awarded the Gold Seal in the Blend category during the 2026 Brazil Artisanal Award ceremony, hosted by the Confederation of Agriculture and Livestock of Brazil (CNA).

The competition evaluated 85 samples from various production hubs across the country.

The selection process involved both technical and consumer judges in blind tastings, which considered not only the sensory attributes of the oils but also the history and dedication of the farmers involved in the national olive industry.

High-altitude terroir and international recognition

The award-winning olive oil is produced in the municipality of Maria da Fé, Minas Gerais, using a blend of four olive varieties: Arbequina, Coratina, Grappolo 541, and Koroneiki.

The brand also stood out in the Monovarietal category, where its Mantikir Coratina label secured fourth place in the competition.

The estate’s olive trees thrive on slopes that reach an impressive altitude of 1,910 meters.

This geographical and climatic factor directly influences fruit development, optimizing the concentration of aromatic and flavor compounds, all while maintaining rigorous acidity standards.

Experts note:

The growing appreciation for artisanal Brazilian olive oil reflects the technological progress and dedication of producers striving for international quality standards, turning specific microclimates into unique competitive advantages.

Before its success in the federal capital, the brand had already accumulated significant awards in competitions held in Spain, Greece, Israel, and France.

The event, promoted by the CNA, aims to highlight Brazil’s artisanal agri-food production, boosting the competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises in the domestic market.

Looking ahead, the strategy for both organizers and producers is to bring the final consumer closer to the realities of the field.

The company maintains facilities focused on wine tourism in Santo Antônio do Pinhal, São Paulo, offering immersive experiences centered on sensory education and celebrating the high-quality, sustainable agriculture produced in Brazil.
