The Equatorial Group has launched a Public Call for Proposals for Energy Efficiency with over R$ 61 million to fund sustainable projects across seven states. Companies, public agencies, and NGOs have until November 9, 2026, to submit proposals aimed at reducing energy consumption.

The Equatorial Group, one of the leading players in the national electricity sector, has just announced the launch of its 2026 Public Call for Projects (CPP) under the Energy Efficiency Program (PEE). This initiative represents a significant milestone, providing a robust fund of over R$ 61 million to finance innovative proposals within its concession areas, which include Maranhão, Pará, Piauí, Alagoas, Goiás, Amapá, and Rio Grande do Sul.

This call for proposals serves as a crucial opportunity for various segments looking to improve their energy usage. The focus is on boosting energy efficiency, modernizing infrastructure, and fostering sustainability. The initiative aligns with the guidelines set by the National Electric Energy Agency (ANEEL), ensuring that resources are allocated to projects that effectively promote the efficient use of electricity.

Who Can Participate and Program Categories

The Public Call for Projects aims to select initiatives that promote energy efficiency across different sectors of society. Participation is open to industries, commercial establishments, public institutions, municipalities, and non-profit organizations. The call is divided into several categories, making it easier to tailor proposals to specific sector needs.

Key categories include Public Lighting, Public Sector, and Commerce and Services. Interested parties have an extended deadline to submit their proposals, which must be received by November 9, 2026. Submissions must be made through the Equatorial Group’s Public Call for Projects portal. Eligibility extends to both captive and free consumers connected to the Equatorial Group grid, as well as companies legally authorized to provide energy conservation services, equipment manufacturers, and retailers.

“The Energy Efficiency Public Call for Projects is a vital opportunity to turn ideas into solutions that generate energy savings, sustainability, and direct benefits for society. Beyond reducing energy consumption, these projects contribute to the modernization of facilities and the development of the regions where we operate,” states Dayane de Matos Pereira, PEE Operations Leader at Equatorial Group.

Technical Workshop for Participants

To assist potential participants in drafting qualified proposals, the Equatorial Group will hold a Technical Workshop for the Energy Efficiency Program (PEE) call. The event is scheduled for October 9, 2026, and will take place in person at the Equatorial CEEE headquarters in Porto Alegre (RS), located at Av. Clóvis Paim Grivot, 11, Humaitá district. To ensure access for all states in the concession area, there will also be an online broadcast.

During the workshop, key aspects of the call for proposals will be detailed, including updates for this edition, resource distribution by state, and participation criteria. Participants will receive guidance on using the submission system and have a dedicated space to clarify any questions. The access link for the broadcast will be provided on the Public Call portal.
