Correios and AliExpress have formed a strategic partnership to streamline international parcel logistics, aiming to reduce delivery times and improve tracking for Brazilian consumers.

The logistics network connecting global e-commerce to the national territory has just received a significant boost. In a joint effort to optimize the shopping experience, Correios and the Chinese giant AliExpress have renewed their technical cooperation agreement, sealing a commitment focused on operational efficiency and logistics agility.

The memorandum of understanding, signed in September at Alibaba Group‘s headquarters in Hangzhou, sets clear goals for the coming months. With the retail calendar approaching critical dates such as Black Friday and the November 11 festival, both institutions are focused on preparing Brazil’s postal network for the sharp increase in parcel volume.

Focus on Logistics Efficiency

The renewal of this partnership is an integral part of the Correios Restructuring Plan, which seeks to strengthen the state-owned company’s presence in the cross-border e-commerce market. The core objective is clear: reduce customer waiting times, increase processing capacity at sorting centers, and provide more transparent and accurate tracking for buyers.

To meet the growing demand, the planning includes adjustments to the integrated logistics linking Asia to Brazil. According to the state-owned company, the current infrastructure has been scaled to absorb the intense year-end flow without compromising service quality.

“We are prepared for the expected increase in parcel volume by the end of the year, with a robust and integrated logistics system that connects Brazil to global e-commerce and ensures greater agility for consumers.”

Market Projections

The signing of this agreement reflects the trust the technology and retail sector places in the Correios infrastructure. By connecting global e-commerce with the state-owned company’s reach, the measure not only benefits the end consumer but also positions the Brazilian company as an essential arm for the flow of international goods.

The market expectation is that, with these adjustments, peak sales periods will be less impacted by operational bottlenecks. For the next steps, the state-owned company’s board is banking on the continued expansion of these international partnerships as a fundamental pillar for the modernization of postal services in the country.
