Copel announced the end of trading its shares on the European market Latibex, centralizing its financial operations in Brazil and the United States.

Copel made a significant strategic move for the financial market by completing the delisting process of its securities from the Latin American Securities Market, known as Latibex, based in Madrid.

The decision, approved by the Board of Directors of BME Markets & Exchanges, marks the definitive end of trading under the code XCOPO as of the end of October 2026.

This move follows plans announced by the Paraná-based electric utility company earlier in September.

With the official exit from the Spanish market, the company aims to optimize its corporate structure and focus its efforts on markets with higher liquidity and global relevance for its shareholders.

Concentration of liquidity on B3 and NYSE

Despite leaving the Madrid exchange, the company’s global presence remains intact.

Investors continue to have access to the utility’s shares through traditional high-volume financial channels, ensuring stability for shareholders.

The company’s issued shares continue to be traded on B3 S.A. – Brazil, Bolsa, Balcão and on the New York Stock Exchange – NYSE.

With this restructuring, the company’s asset-related transactions are limited to the Brazilian exchange B3 – under the tickers CPLE3, CPLE5, and CPLE6 – and the U.S. market of NYSE, through American Depositary Shares, known as ADSs.

Reduction of bureaucracy and operational costs

The cessation of activities in the European environment reflects an administrative efficiency strategy.

Maintaining secondary listings in low-volume financial venues often generates disproportionate operational expenses.

By streamlining the foreign capital structure, management can simplify compliance with stringent regulatory requirements imposed by both the Comissão de Valores Mobiliários and the Securities and Exchange Commission, focusing resources where trading volume is highest.

The impact of this reorganization reflects the ongoing pursuit of efficiency in the electric sector, allowing Copel to focus its attention on the robustness of its operations on B3 and the NYSE.

This measure consolidates the company’s maturity moment, which remains focused on attracting large global investors in the main markets without dispersing efforts across secondary trading venues.
