Governor Celina Leão intensifies her second-round campaign with a focus on infrastructure and urban mobility, seeking to consolidate support in strategic regions of the Federal District.

The electoral race for the leadership of the Federal District has entered its decisive phase. With the second-round election approaching, Governor and re-election candidate Celina Leão (PP) accelerated her schedule this Tuesday, prioritizing direct contact with voters and engagement with local political leaders.

The candidate’s focus has been clear: to translate the recognition of ongoing public works in the capital into political capital. During her walks through strategic administrative regions, Celina Leão defended her administration’s legacy, emphasizing that the continuity of projects is the path to maintaining economic stability and the development of the DF.

Infrastructure as a Priority

One of the central pillars of the PP candidate’s campaign is the continuation of road improvement projects. The government plan presented includes asphalting roads, modernizing the public transportation system, and delivering mobility projects aimed at reducing travel time for citizens living outside the Plano Piloto.

In addition to structural issues, the commercial sector has also received special attention. In discussions with business owners and shopkeepers, the candidate has addressed proposals for tax incentives, aiming to foster new job creation and strengthen the local economy in the face of national challenges.

Dialogue and Political Engagement

Visits to crucial electoral strongholds, such as Ceilândia and Taguatinga, reinforced the governor’s commitment to addressing social demands, particularly in the areas of health and basic infrastructure. The strategy is to strengthen ties with community leaders who understand the bottlenecks in each region.

“My focus remains on completing the programs that are already changing the reality of our people and on maintaining the stability that the Federal District has achieved under our administration”

The campaign’s closing phase features the support of a broad center-right coalition. This political union is seen by the candidacy as a differential factor for ensuring governability should the mandate be renewed. The scenario now points to the final stretch, where each commitment made on the streets could be decisive for the outcome at the polls.

With the election drawing near, the expectation is that the campaign’s next steps will concentrate on reinforcing the discourse about delivering results and the promise of continuous advancements in the quality of life for Brasília’s residents, consolidating the support base built over the past months.
