CCEE has opened registration for an innovation program focused on solving challenges from the opening of the free energy market and streamlining operational processes in the power sector.
The Electric Energy Trading Chamber (CCEE) has launched the selection process for its new collaborative innovation and prototyping journey. The initiative is aimed at agents and associates across the national power sector.
The central objective of the project is to identify operational bottlenecks in the energy ecosystem and develop joint solutions. The focus is on preparing for the full opening of the free energy market in the country.
In addition to preparing the sector for this expansion, the initiative seeks ways to shorten timeframes for financial settlement stages and daily operations managed by the entity.
How the selection process will work
Registration remains open until this Friday (09) and must be completed through the Quiker platform. Interested groups must consist of three to five participants.
In total, the program will select up to ten teams, bringing together approximately 50 industry professionals. The evaluation committee will assess the clarity of the proposals and the technical relevance of the presented issues.
Regarding the core purpose of the effort, the organization highlights:
“The initiative aims to map practical bottlenecks and build joint solutions focused on the full opening of the free market and the reduction of timelines in the entity’s operational and financial settlement calendar.”
Schedule and activity format
The announcement of the selected groups is scheduled for October 13. Subsequently, participants will attend virtual alignment meetings set for October 15 and 20.
The practical phase includes in-person meetings in the city of São Paulo, scheduled for October 26 and 27. In these workshops, teams will work on directly developing their proposals.
The cycle will conclude with a public presentation of the developed projects. The event will take the format of a showcase of results, with no competition, awards, or team rankings.
The action reinforces CCEE‘s commitment to the continuous modernization of commercial routines and the efficiency of the power market in Brazil.
With the advancement of the open market environment, the expectation is that the ideas built will bring greater agility, innovation, and transparency to all sector stakeholders.
