New leadership on the Renova Energia board
Renova Energia has announced a significant change to its governance structure. Alexandre Marcelo Marques Cruz has been elected to chair the company’s Board of Directors. The appointment, disclosed through a material fact filing, marks the arrival of a professional with a solid background and extensive experience in finance and asset management.
Cruz, who holds degrees in Economics and Law, as well as a business specialization from FGV, takes on the role of an independent board member. He succeeds Geoffrey David Cleaver, who, while stepping down as chairman of the board, will continue to contribute to the company as a regular board member. This transition is part of Renova Energia’s strategic governance adjustments.
Alexandre Cruz’s expertise in the financial and asset management sectors brings a new perspective to the company’s strategic oversight.
