A small purchase of R$ 49.90 for an ice cream in downtown Brasília changed the fortune of a consumer, who won R$ 1 million in the Nota Legal lottery.
The luck smiled on a Brasília resident this Thursday (05), during the second draw of the 2026 edition of the Nota Legal program.
With just R$ 49.90 spent at an ice cream shop in the Conjunto Nacional, the main winner of the R$ 1 million top prize lives in the Paranoá area.
The event, which stimulates the local economy and encourages fiscal citizenship, distributed a total jackpot among thousands of winning tickets.
The draw, conducted by the Secretaria de Economia do Distrito Federal (Seec-DF), was broadcast live on the official GDF channel, underscoring the transparency of the process that involved almost 78.4 million tickets.
In addition to the million‑dollar prize, two other winners took home R$ 200,000 each.
One lives in the Setor Leste do Gama, while the other resides in Presidente Alves, in the interior of São Paulo, showing that the program reaches consumers who used services on Brasília soil, such as paying a tuition fee at Centro Universitário Uniplan in Águas Claras.
“Winners must be mindful of deadlines and must register their bank details in the official system to ensure receipt of the drawn amounts, which will be processed according to cash availability at the start of 2027.”
For this lucky cohort, the payout process requires immediate attention.
Winners have until February 4, 2027, to visit the official Nota Legal website and provide the required banking information.
It is worth noting that GDF will send email notifications, emphasizing the importance of keeping the registration updated with the economics department.
The program, which recorded about 1.2 million participants from November 2025 to April 2026, has become one of the main tools for encouraging invoice issuance.
Those who miss the deadline for submitting banking information will have the amount automatically returned to the Tesouro do Distrito Federal.
Therefore, checking the status on the portal is the essential step to avoid wasting the prize earned.
