The MPDFT opened a public call to donate unusable movable assets to social organizations and waste picker associations, strengthening the circular economy in the Federal District and surrounding region.

The Public Prosecutor’s Office of the Federal District and Territories (MPDFT) has launched an important initiative aimed at the sustainable management of its material resources.

The institution launched an accreditation process targeted at social organizations interested in receiving lots of materials deemed uneconomical or unrecoverable for the agency’s daily operations.

The initiative encompasses organizations located in the federal capital and in eleven municipalities that make up the Entorno Metropolitan Region.

The main objective is to ensure an environmentally correct and socially useful destination for these items, fostering the reuse of materials and supporting the work of local cooperatives and foundations.

Participation Criteria and Priority

The process, regulated by Accreditation Notice No. 1/2026, establishes clear rules for the distribution of the lots.

Civil society organizations, solidarity economy ventures, foundations, and recycling-focused associations that meet the document requirements set out in MPDFT regulations are eligible to participate.

The order of service for institutions follows the chronological order of document submission through the agency’s official electronic system.

However, legislation guarantees special preference to associations and cooperatives of recyclable material collectors duly registered with Sinir, reinforcing the commitment to productive inclusion and environmental sustainability.

It was stated:

The proper disposal of unusable assets represents a fundamental link in strengthening the solidarity economy and conscious waste management in our region.

Logistics and Next Steps

The institutions selected over the three-year validity period of the call will be responsible for all logistical operations.

Costs related to the transportation and physical removal of donated lots must be fully covered by the beneficiary entities, requiring prior planning on the part of participants.

Those interested in joining the program must register as external users on the MPDFT portal to submit documentation digitally.

The full text of the notice, along with informative attachments, is available in the agency’s transparency section, while any questions can be clarified directly with the asset management team via electronic contact.
