GDF candidate Leandro Grass has presented proposals to establish a technology hub in the capital, focus on professional training, and lead the transition toward ending the 6×1 work schedule.

The electoral race in the Federal District has taken on new economic dimensions with the announcement of the government proposals from candidate Leandro Grass (PT).

During recent campaign stops across the federal capital, the politician placed innovation, professional qualification, and labor modernization at the heart of his platform to diversify the local economy and reduce its historic dependence on the public sector.

The plan aims to prepare the workforce in Brasília for the demands of the green and digital economy.

With a focus on decentralizing opportunities, the strategy aims to reach tens of thousands of residents in peripheral administrative regions, stimulating more sustainable and inclusive economic growth for the region’s youth.

Technological training and sustainable innovation

Among the primary goals presented is the training of 100,000 people by 2030.

The initiative includes providing courses focused on programming, artificial intelligence, and robotics in locations such as Ceilândia, Samambaia, and Planaltina, democratizing access to future-oriented tools and fostering tech entrepreneurship.

To foster the innovation ecosystem, the program calls for the creation of the Desafios Brasília (Brasília Challenges) project.

The initiative intends to use government purchasing power to contract solutions developed by local companies, with a special focus on critical needs such as public health and efficient urban management.

Service modernization and work schedule transition

The campaign is also betting on digital transformation to improve citizens’ lives.

The proposal is to unify the delivery of essential services—such as health, education, and transportation—through an integrated application managed by the GDF (Government of the Federal District).

Another highlight in discussions with workers at the Rodoviária do Plano Piloto was economic adaptation in light of the national debate regarding the end of the 6×1 work week.

Leandro Grass stated:

The government must lead the transition and prepare both business owners and workers for this new phase in the labor market, ensuring both productivity and quality of life.

With these guidelines, the campaign seeks to attract voters interested in administrative modernization and economic diversification.

The next stages of the debates are expected to delve deeper into how the local productive sector will absorb these structural transformations in the coming years.
