The CCEE has opened registration for a bootcamp focused on co-creating solutions for market opening and operational efficiency in the Brazilian electricity sector.
The transition toward a more modern, decentralized model in the clean and sustainable energy sector is gaining strategic momentum. The CCEE (Electric Power Commercialization Chamber) has launched the application period for its innovative co-creation program, designed to tackle the day-to-day challenges of commercial operations.
The initiative calls on experts and companies to collectively design the future of the systemic processes that support the national power supply.
Registration is open until October 9, 2026, for groups composed of three to five professionals. The selection process aims to form up to ten teams, totaling approximately 50 participants.
Participants are expected to submit real-world pain points encountered in their corporate routines to debate structural improvements alongside the regulatory body.
Thematic axes and open innovation
The program is structured around two main pillars. The first addresses the expansion of the free contracting environment, encompassing the gradual migration of new consumer profiles, data integration, measurement accuracy, and potential applications inspired by the Open Energy concept.
The second axis focuses on optimizing the operational calendar, seeking greater agility in accounting, financial settlement, and the workflows that directly impact business predictability.
The chosen methodology relies on collective intelligence and proximity to the real-world demands of companies.
Vital Neto, the institution’s Director of Innovation and New Business, highlighted:
Our Bootcamp reinforces our customer-centric approach and the CCEE’s role as a facilitator of sector transformation. By bringing the market closer to the solution development process, the organization expands its ability to understand different journeys, anticipate needs, and direct investments that benefit the entire ecosystem.
Collaborative journey schedule
Should demand exceed the number of available spots, an internal committee will evaluate projects based on systemic relevance, clarity, and the diversity of the applicants. The official announcement of the selected participants will take place on October 13.
The methodological path includes virtual research meetings on October 15 and 20, culminating in an in-person immersion on October 26 in São Paulo.
The program will conclude on October 27 with an event dedicated to presenting the consolidated findings, with no competitive element or cash prizes involved.
Gerusa Côrtes, Director of Market Operations at CCEE, emphasized:
Market agents know the operational challenges and play an essential role in their evolution. We want to build solutions with those who work in the sector every day, strengthening a Chamber that is increasingly accessible, innovative, and oriented toward the needs of its clients.
With this initiative, the national electricity ecosystem is strengthening its infrastructure to absorb new technologies and regulatory demands.
The joint development of operational guidelines paves the way for a more dynamic, transparent market, aligned with global energy transition goals for the coming decades.
