The Brazilian furniture sector reached R$ 92 billion in 2025, with new developments and a trade fair scheduled for September in Paraná.
Brazil’s furniture and mattress industry demonstrated its economic strength in 2025, recording a significant revenue of R$ 92.1 billion. This performance was supported by the production of 434.7 million pieces, in addition to a solid presence in the international market with exports totaling US$ 769.3 million, with the United States as the primary destination.
The national landscape, which in 2025 included 22,843 companies and generated 287,200 jobs, is gearing up for new momentum in 2026. The state of Paraná, a key hub for the production chain with its 5,500 manufacturers and over 77,000 workers, will host an event focused on stimulating the domestic market.
Casa Design Fair aims to boost sales
From September 24th to 27th, the city of Campo Largo, in Paraná, will host the Casa Design Fair. The event, held at the City Center Outlet Premium, has the primary goal of promoting consumption and offering business opportunities. The fair will bring together approximately 50 exhibitors, many of them from Santa Catarina, a state recognized for its strong presence in the furniture sector.
Consumer opportunities and future projections
Visitors will find a wide variety of furniture and home decor items with discounts of up to 70%. The initiative seeks to stimulate demand at a time when national production in May 2026 saw a 3.4% growth and retail sales jumped 15.3% in volume, despite a cumulative decline earlier in the year.
The Casa Design Fair is expected to attract about 10,000 people to a 5,300-square-meter venue. Organizers anticipate approximately R$ 5 million in direct sales during the event.
A representative of the event organization commented:
We believe that fairs like this are essential to connect consumers with high-quality products at affordable prices, while also strengthening the national production chain.
Admission and parking will be free, with specific hours for weekdays (2 p.m. to 10 p.m., Thursday and Friday) and weekends (11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Saturday and Sunday). This event represents an important showcase for the sector, aiming to overcome challenges and consolidate the growth of the Brazilian furniture industry.
